Nutrition & Hydration Week | Juice Plus+

What is nutrition and hydration week?

Nutrition & Hydration Week celebrates the progress we’ve made with nutrition and hydration locally and around the world.  “Its purpose is to bring people together to create energy, focus and fun in order to highlight and educate people on the value of food and drink in maintaining health and well-being in health and social care.” The week has been celebrated since 2021 and makes great strides in showing how important drinking and staying hydrated is to keep our body working well and feeling great.

When is nutrition and hydration week?

14 to 20 June 2021

The highlight? A Global Tea Party :)

One simple way to hydrate more is to enjoy tea either hot or cold with your favourite tea leaf. On Wednesday June 16th, the community encourages everyone to hold a tea party wherever they are and share the fun on social media. By sharing your own hydration tips, you remind your followers of how important water and hydration is to our bodies and possibly influence a very good thing.

I find a small cup of soup is less intimidating than a big bowl of soup and the kids/husband think that it’s a quick and easy thing to do to make me happy. Pair your soup with a delish sandwich on toasty bread for dunking and everyone is happy!

Fruit and Yoghurt Popsicles

Via vegetables such as raw cucumber, celery or radishes and fruit including watermelon, peaches and kiwi you can increase your overall water intake.

Tips to eat your water:

  • In the morning, chop up raw fruit and place on a beautiful plate. Leave out for everyone to dive into. Go for berries that require zero chopping and add some apple slices, nectarine slices or kiwi pieces.
  • In the evening while cooking dinner, chop some raw vegetables… also place on gorg plate for a snack while waiting for dinner. Easiest veg that keeps well in the fridge are: carrots, peppers and a couple of celery sticks.
  • Add a tiny side salad to dinner. So tiny they couldn’t resist just eating a few bites. Fibre and water for a double nutritional whammy!
