Juice Plus+ Celebrates the Fourth of July

Everyone loves what the Fourth of July has to offer – warm summer weather, tasty food from the grill, ice cold beverages, and making memories with family and friends. Oh and the fireworks, we can’t forget the fireworks! But even with all of the fun activities, we can tend to overindulge in grilled foods and stay inside due to the high heat. Don’t fall into that category – after all, the weekend is a celebration! Instead, get outside, be active and have some fun.  Check out these four easy-to-implement healthy plans the Juice Plus+ team is incorporating into our 4th of July celebrations.  


We’ve got to eat, right? Healthy doesn’t have to be bland and tasteless. Grilled fruits and veggies are full of flavor. Check out our post for healthy grilling alternatives. (

Everyone seems to gravitate toward water during the Fourth of July. In most cases, these activities involve swimming or water sports. However, we shouldn’t forget to hydrate our bodies during these aquatic activities. Be sure to have plenty of water on hand to quench your thirst. Juice Plus+ tip – Water does not have to be tasteless, jazz up your water cooler with fresh fruit for flavoring!

Swimming isn’t the only way to get some exercise and beat the heat during this holiday. There’s nothing like a dip in the pool on a hot sunny day. Some of our families have a full day of backyard games scheduled including a three-legged race, freeze tag, disc golf and cornhole tournaments. Backyard games, whether in the pool or not, encourage everyone to get involved and have fun. Be sure to protect your skin with sunscreen while soaking up the natural vitamin D.

At Juice Plus+ we have a common goal for this long weekend, to relax while spending time with family and friends. Sure, the weekend can be full of activities, but at the end of the day we will be surrounded by those closest to us enjoying a fireworks show and celebrating.
