Want to Eat More Veg = Learn How to Buddha Bowl
Summer is long gone... and cold green salads are not appealing, but these gorgeous Buddha bowls are amazing.
According to the Urban Dictionary, a Buddha Bowl is…
(n). a bowl which is packed so full that it has a rounded "belly" appearance on the top much like the belly of a Buddha ;-)
Wikipedia speaks about the Buddha Bowl being the largest in a set and containing the wisdom of Buddha and… his head. Ummm yeah.
Whatever you believe, this new foodie trend is a gorgeous way to get your 5 in a day. You see there was a time in the past when I didn’t know how to prepare vegetables and they would often become waterlogged mess of yuck on a plate. This brings vegetable eating to a whole new level.
The 3-keys to Creating a Buddha Bowl
1. Variety of Ingredients
2. Rainbow Colors
3. Magical Sauce
One should take the different ingredients and assemble colorfully in a bowl… then add sauce on top. Ideally the dish should be a tribute to vegetarian living, but many people add a bit of meat or fish to the dish to make it feel more solid for them.

TIPS:
1) It’s a great way to use up leftovers in your fridge and fruit/veg hanging around. Try new combos to see what works well together and make it as beautiful as possible.
2) It’s also fun to take a few bits and bobs out of the freezer to prepare your bowl quite quickly. e.g. peas or broccoli bites
Are you inspired to get more vegetables in your body?
