Top 6 Fruit-Infused Iced Tea Recipes for National Iced Tea Month

Did you know June is National Iced Tea month?  There’s nothing better than a refreshing ice cold glass of tea on a summer day- well except for maybe one with some delicious and nutritious fruit infused in it!  We’ve rounded up some of our favorite recipes for incorporating fruits into your iced tea this summer. Not only do they taste amazing, but they’ll also give an extra boost of nutrition to your favorite summertime drink.  Give one (or all) of these a try, and sip into summer!

Juice Plus+ tip: many of these recipes call for sugar- skip it!  The fruits have natural sugar that will sweeten up the tea quite a bit.  If you have a sweet tooth and want a little extra, opt for honey or agave nectar instead.

1. Strawberry Basil

This simple recipe is great for those who want a delicious, fruity tea that’s easy to make.  With just a few ingredients, you’re on your way to rejuvenating strawberry tea in no time!  The basil, which is completely strained out (no green pieces floating in your glass!), complements the strawberry beautifully and leaves you wanting more.

2. Peach

Peach iced tea is a classic for a reason.  There’s just something about peach iced tea that makes you want to sit and sip on your porch all day long.  This recipe puts a twist to this classic by using chai tea and adding in some sprigs of mint.

3. Blackberry and Mint

In addition to being delicious, blackberries are packed with antioxidants, so why not add them to your tea for an extra boost?  This tea is the perfect mixture of sweet and tart, and the addition of mint brightens up the flavor.  Give this one a try next time you’re needing a refreshing pick-me-up on a hot day.

4. Plum and Mint

Plums aren’t the star of the produce aisle, but they should be!  They’re hearth healthy, reduce the risk of Type II Diabetes and improve memory, just to name a few of their benefits.  What better way to incorporate plums into your diet than through your iced tea?  This recipe combines them with mint to create a tart and refreshing flavor.

5. Orange and Mango

Sail to the tropics with this recipe!  Whether you’re getting ready to go to the beach on a family vacation, or are spending the summer in your backyard, this tea will help put your mind on island time.  The boost of Vitamin C won’t hurt either!

6. Raspberry and Lemon

Raspberries are one of the perfect summer fruits- they are sweet, tart and refreshing.  Add them into tea and you’ve got the perfect summertime drink!  Squeezing in some lemon only ups the flavor.  Next time you’re looking for a refreshing glass of tea- this one will hit the spot!
