How to Throw the Perfect Outdoor Gathering with Juice Plus+

Spring is here, and it’s finally warm enough to get outside and socialize. You can throw that outdoor gathering you’ve been dreaming of all winter! But before you bust out the hotdogs and condiments, hold on – why not plan a healthier and more nutritious outdoor event for your guests? Whether it’s a picnic or a baby shower, we’ve put together some of our favorite tips for healthy outdoor entertaining, including delicious recipes.

Have a Potluck
You can have a veggie chili cook off, pie baking contest, or simply offer a prize to whoever brings the best dish. This can be fun for your guests and takes some of the pressure off you to cook everything by yourself beforehand. Just make sure that guests will be bringing a wide array of foods, so you don’t end up with a table full of potato salad.

Set up a Complete Station
While a water station is a necessity, what about a Complete Smoothie station? Stay hydrated and get some added nutrition! All you need to have out are the Complete French Vanilla mix, Complete Dutch Chocolate mix, fruits and vegetables of your choice, nut butters, and whatever else you like in your smoothie! We promise this smoothie set-up will be a hit!

Bug Spray and Sunscreen Station
Bugs and sunburns might not be a problem yet, depending on where you live. But if you live in a warm climate, be sure to set up a small bug spray and sunscreen station so guests don’t have to remember to bring their own and can be sure to protect their skin. Nothing says buzz kill like having to go inside because of bug bites or a sunburn!

Yard Games for Kids
And, of course, one of the best things about outdoor gatherings is the extra space for kids! At your next outdoor event, plan for high-energy kids to run around while the grown-ups have their own fun. Croquet, bocce, corn hole, Frisbee, and soccer are all great, low-maintenance ways to keep active kids entertained during your event. And the adults might want to get in on the action too!

We hope you enjoyed these tips for your next outdoor gathering. Outdoor events may take a little extra planning, but they can be so much fun for everyone involved – including the host! Here’s to a warm spring filled with friends, celebrations, and good food. What tips do you use for a fun and healthy outdoor party? Share in the comments below!
