Santa’s Workshop Brings Cheer to St. Jude Families

Each holiday season, close to 100 families are in residence at Target House, a home-away-from-home for patients and their families undergoing long-term treatment at St. Jude. The families have everything they need to be comfortable for their stay in the fully furnished apartments.  But, it can be hard to find the holiday spirit when you are so far from home.

That’s why each year, employees of The Juice Plus Company bring Santa’s Workshop to Target House.  The St. Jude patients shop for their family and friends from over 300 gifts that make up Santa’s Workshop.  The donated gifts from employees and corporate partners make the holiday season a lot more joyful for the residents of Target House.   The kids love the opportunity to find the perfect gift for their family and friends that have been by their side through their battles with catastrophic illness.

Family members enjoy hot chocolate, apple cider and cookies while Santa’s elves wrap the presents. What could make the night even more fun for the kids? Superheroes and Santa, of course. Three volunteers of Cause Play Memphis stopped by to make sure the kids had a super time, while Santa makes a special appearance for photos and wishes.
