Celebrate National Ice Cream Month with 5 Healthy Dessert Recipes

July appropriately is designated National Ice Cream Month and what better way to celebrate than with healthier versions of our favorite creamy delights. Here's a fun fact: President Ronald Reagan deemed July National Ice Cream Month back in 1984. And in the 30 years since, ice cream consumption has grown tremendously, from 887 million gallons in 1983 to 1.05 billion in 2013 (and that's just in the U.S. alone). That's a lotta milk!

Do as President Reagan once said and celebrate these events with "appropriate ceremonies and activities," like making these healthy desserts to enjoy on hot summer days! These healthy ice cream recipes are invigorating, light, and chock-full of bone-healthy calcium; plus some are dairy free!
