Juice Plus+ Preventive Health Advisor, Dr. David Katz, Named Top Influencer in Health and Fitness

Earlier this month, Greatist.com revealed their list of the 100 Most Influential People In Health And Fitness. Coming in at No. 13 on the lineup of the most powerful innovators within the health and fitness space this year was Juice Plus+ Preventive Health Advisor, Dr. David Katz. He was recognized among other top influential figures, including Dr. Oz, Michelle Obama and Dr. Sanjay Gupta.

Appropriately named the “Nutrition Trailblazer” by Greatist.com, Dr. Katz has been an advocate for an increased focus on nutrition and healthy lifestyles for many years. As one of the most widely read physicians in North America, he has been a voice for the benefits of nutrition and preventive health in many prominent publications, including The Huffington Post, ABC News, The New York Times and O, The Oprah Magazine. To further his mission, Dr. Katz founded a non-profit organization called Turn the Tide Foundation, which is dedicated to “turning the tide” of obesity and chronic disease in North America – especially among children. He is also the author of “Disease-Proof: The Remarkable Truth About What Makes Us Well.”

Aligning with his mission of healthy childhood and family nutrition, Juice Plus+ has been a supportive partner in collaboration with Dr. Katz. Through our partnership, Juice Plus+ helped to spread Dr. Katz’s innovative nutrition-training program for students called “Nutrition Detectives” by underwriting a video curriculum on DVD.
